NMM NIGERIA TAKES HOPE TO AJEGUNLE COMMUNITY BRINGING HEALING TO OVER 1000 INDIGENS.
In Ajegunle, Ifelodun Local Government, the need for healthcare was met with something equally powerful: compassion in action.
The Network for Medical Missions (NMM) Nigeria, in partnership with Divine Health Connect, organized a medical outreach which benefitted more than 1000 community members who came seeking answers, treatment, health guidance, and care. Among those who benefited was the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Ajegunle Police Division, who received a free eye examination and professional eye consultation as part of the outreach.
The NMM outreach team consisted of 28 dedicated multidisciplinary team of medical doctors, nurses, opticians, dentists, and pharmacists, united by a shared commitment to making quality healthcare accessible to the community. Beneficiaries received medical consultations and health screenings, while specialized services included eye examinations, free eyeglasses, dental care, pharmaceutical services, and medications where distributed.
Through health education and preventive healthcare sessions, community members received practical information on healthy living, disease prevention, recognizing warning signs, and the importance of seeking medical attention early. The outreach therefore did not simply ask, “What is wrong?” It also encouraged people to ask, “What can I do to protect my health?”
But the story of Ajegunle did not end at the consultation desk.
For NMM, caring for people encompasses both their physical and spiritual well-being. The Gospel was shared, and 203 individuals gave their lives to Christ. Copies of Healing to the Nations and Rhapsody of Realities were distributed, providing beneficiaries with resources for continued spiritual growth.
It was a beautiful convergence of healthcare, humanitarian service, and the message of God's love through Jesus Christ.
For one day, healthcare was made accessible without the barrier of cost. But the impact went beyond the services provided. People left with treatment, knowledge, encouragement, improved access to vision care, and, for some, a renewed relationship with God.
